VocalBee ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We believe in minimal data collection — we only collect what's necessary to provide and improve the service.
Audio and voice data
Your voice is never recorded or stored. VocalBee uses your device's microphone solely for real-time pitch detection. Audio is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. No voice recordings, audio files, or voice samples are ever created, saved, or shared.
What we collect
We collect the following data to provide the service:
- - Account information: email address (for authentication and communications)
- - Voice profile: voice type, experience level (stored on your device and synced to your account)
- - Usage data: exercises completed, scores, practice streaks, app interactions
- - Device information: device type, operating system version, app version (for debugging and compatibility)
How we use your data
- - Personalize exercises to your voice type and skill level
- - Track your progress and maintain practice streaks
- - Improve the app and fix bugs
- - Send service-related communications (account, billing)
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share anonymized, aggregated usage statistics with third-party analytics services to improve the app. Payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) — we do not have access to your payment details.
Data retention and deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Your rights
Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can also object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
Cookies
The VocalBee website (vocalbee.app) uses privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies or track individuals. The mobile app does not use cookies.
